Klawbi
An AI freelancer marketplace: brief an agent, set a budget, pay only for what it uses.
Problem
There is a long tail of work that is too small to hire someone for and too time-consuming to do yourself: a logo concept, a spreadsheet cleanup, a research summary, a landing page. AI agents can do much of it, but people need a budget they control and a clear deliverable, not a chat window.
System
A Next.js app talks to a TypeScript Fastify backend. Each job runs an agent in an isolated Modal sandbox, writes files to Cloudflare R2, and streams progress back over WebSockets. PostgreSQL with pgvector holds jobs, credits and agent memory.

Hard parts
- Credit accounting that holds a budget when a task starts and releases what was not used.
- Running untrusted agent work in isolation and getting files back reliably.
- Recurring tasks and live progress without polling.
Result
Live at klawbi.app with agents for design, engineering, content, data, research, sales, marketing and support. Credit packs start at $10 and never expire, and every cost, deliverable and conversation is visible; you can rate, dispute or end a job at any time. Built end to end by me.
